The Moolavar worshipped in the Malai Nadu Divya Desams is Lord Vishnu, revered as Sri Vishnu Perumal and Sri Narayana Perumal. The presiding Thayar of Malai Nadu is Sri Lakshmi Thayar, who eternally accompanies the Lord and blesses devotees with divine grace.
The Divya Desams of Malai Nadu were glorified primarily through Mangalasasanam by Thirumangai Alwar. He composed multiple pasurams in praise of Lord Vishnu at these sacred kshetrams, describing the dense forests, hills, rivers, and the serene natural beauty that surround the Malai Nadu shrines.
