Hampi & Udupi Yatra

A spiritually enriching 6-day Sri Ramayana Yatra covering the sacred kshetrams of Nashik Panchavadi and Hampi.

Yatra Overview

Hampi Yatra unfolds across the sacred Kishkinda region of the Ramayana along the banks of the Tungabhadra River, blending Vaishnava devotion, Shaiva traditions, and Vijayanagara heritage. Kodandarama Temple & Chakratirtha, located on the riverbank, is dedicated to Lord Rama and features rare bas-relief carvings of Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, and Sugriva on a natural boulder, uniquely depicting Sugriva instead of Hanuman, with a garbhagriha, ardha mandapa, and Kalyana mandapa.
Behind this shrine lies Yantroddharaka Anjaneya, where Hanuman is seated in padmasana within a mystic Yantra installed by Vyasa Tirtha. Near the Krishna Temple stands the iconic Lakshmi Narasimha Shrine, a 6.70-meter monolithic sculpture carved in 1528 AD during Krishnadevaraya’s reign, depicting Narasimha seated on Sesha beneath a makaratorana. Malyavantha Parvata & Raghunathaswamy Temple, one of the Saptaparvatas, is associated with Rama’s exile, Dasaratha’s obsequies, and the meeting with Hanuman, marked by Rama Done and Lakshmana Done.
Anegondi, on the left bank of the Tungabhadra, serves as an ancient gateway to this sacred region and leads to Anjanadri Parvata, revered as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, where Anjanadevi lived and Hanuman is believed to have diverted the river for his mother.
Nearby lies Pampa Sarovara, celebrated as Pampakshetra, where Pampadevi performed penance to attain Lord Shiva and revered as sacred as the Ganga of Kashi. Completing the yatra, Rishyamukha Parvata, opposite Kodandarama Temple, is the hill where the Saptamaharshis attained enlightenment, making Hampi Yatra a timeless journey through Ramayana legends and living spiritual heritage.
