The Moolavar worshipped across the prominent shrines of Cholanadu is Lord Vishnu in His majestic and benevolent forms, revered as Sri Ranganatha Perumal and Sri Krishna Perumal. Nammalwar and Thirumangai Alwar composed extensive devotional verses glorifying numerous Divya Desams situated along the sacred Cauvery river, enriching the spiritual legacy of this region.
